Senior Construction Methods Engineer (S)

Purpose

The Senior Construction Methods Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing construction methods, standards, best practices and know how to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety during the planning, engineering and execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver construction methodologies tailored to project requirements, considering factors such as materials, site conditions, project requirements, and schedule.
  • Address and resolve complex construction challenges, applying constructability principles to develop robust and effective solutions.
  • Provide guidance and advanced technical expertise on construction techniques to the project and site team, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of construction methods, changes, outcomes and lessons learned for future reference and continuous improvement.
  • Actively participate in department improvement programs through cross analyses, workshops, reporting and/or construction methods standards development.

Education

At least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience

At least 8 years of experience with knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and HSSE regulations combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including proficiency in construction management software and tools.

The Company is market leading in leased floating production systems with multiple units currently in operation and has unrivalled operational experience in this field. The Company’s main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. These are either owned and operated by SBM Offshore and leased to its clients or supplied on a turnkey sale basis.
