At JTI, the Global FX Trader Manager is a key member of Global Treasury Operations with accountability for centralized foreign exchange and interest rate trading activities, as well as financial markets advisory. The role supports the management of relationships with the world’s leading financial institutions, contributes to operational requests from Regional Treasury teams, and co-owns maintenance of trading platforms in collaboration with Treasury Technology and IT teams.

Position

In this role you will:

  • Take ownership of FX and interest rate hedging activities supporting JTI's global business and risk management strategy.
  • Stay close to global financial markets, translating market developments into actionable insights and advice for treasury, business and capital markets stakeholders.
  • Maintain an active understanding of global macroeconomic developments, market trends and their potential impact on JTI's risk profile.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across regions and central functions to identify, assess and mitigate FX and interest rate risks through tailored hedging solutions.
  • Build and manage relationships with leading international financial institutions, ensuring best-in-class execution, competitive pricing and market intelligence.
  • Contribute to strategic treasury projects, technology initiatives and continuous improvement of trading processes, platforms and controls.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on financial markets matters, helping drive informed business and financing decisions across the organization.
  • Support the evolution of JTI's global treasury capabilities through collaboration, knowledge sharing and engagement with treasury teams across the global network.
  • Work at the heart of Group Treasury, managing significant market exposures and partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Tax, Legal and GBS to deliver value-added business solutions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Finance or a related field (CFA is a plus).
  • Experience in FX and/or Interest Rate trading, gained within the banking sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, hedging strategies and global macroeconomic trends.
  • Hands-on experience with trading platforms such as FXAll, 360T, Bloomberg or Reuters.
  • Knowledge of SAP FSCM.
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
