At Philips Personal Health, interns are expected to contribute and not just observe. As a Commercial Strategy & Sales Intern (Dutch speaking), you'll work on real business challenges, collaborate with experienced commercial leaders, and contribute to decisions that drive growth with some of the largest retailers in the Benelux. This role is designed for students who are eager to learn, take ownership, and make a visible impact.

You'll gain hands-on experience in sales, account management, business analytics, customer strategy, and emerging technologies such as AI. Along the way, you'll build a strong professional network, receive direct coaching, and develop skills that will accelerate your future career.

Internship details

Start Date: September/October 2026

Duration: 6 months

Type: Internship (thesis is possible, but there is a dedication to learn something and help the team with operational tasks)

Weekly Presence: 40h (minimum 32h)

Please note: you need to be officially enrolled at the university for the whole internship duration.

Your role

As part of the Personal Health Benelux commercial team, you will support key business priorities while taking ownership of projects that create measurable value for both Philips and our customers.

Account Management & Commercial Strategy

  • Support the development of customer account plans and growth strategies
  • Analyze market developments, customer performance, and competitor activities
  • Prepare insights and recommendations for business reviews and customer discussions
  • Contribute to strategic projects that improve commercial performance

Data, Analytics & AI

  • Transform sales and market data into actionable business insights
  • Build and improve dashboards, reports, and performance analyses
  • Explore how AI and digital tools can support commercial decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and enhance business intelligence

Portfolio & Innovation

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and launch preparations
  • Maintain assortment overviews, listings, and product information
  • Participate in innovation planning sessions and portfolio discussions

Customer Engagement & Commercial Excellence

  • Prepare customer presentations and commercial updates
  • Join customer meetings, business reviews, retailer visits, and innovation sessions
  • Capture actions and insights from meetings and ensure effective follow-up
  • Support customer events and cross-functional projects

Supply Chain & Forecast Support

  • Help identify out-of-stock and overstock risks
  • Support forecast discussions with commercial insights and data analysis
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to improve business planning and execution

You're the right fit if

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commercial Economics, Administration, Business, Economics, Finance, Data & Analytics or related studies.
  • You have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • You have an analytical mindset and affinity with processing data
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
  • You have an interest in sales, strategy, analytics, and commercial leadership

How we work together

For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
