Internship opportunity: Front Office Management Intern starting September 2026

As our Front Office Management Intern, you will support the daily operation of the Front Office while gaining hands-on leadership experience. This role combines guest service, operational support, administration, and commercial responsibilities, with flexibility to assist other departments when required.

This internship offers a full-time learning experience for a minimum of 5 months, aligned with your study requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest service throughout the guest journey, ensuring all Front Office operations meet brand standards.
  • Maintain an organized reception area, including key wallets, room keys, registration documents, stationery, and Front Office supplies, and manage the ordering of amenities and operational materials.
  • Support Front Office Team Leaders with daily operations, demonstrating basic leadership by motivating colleagues, encouraging teamwork, and helping achieve monthly departmental goals.
  • Assist with revenue generation by finalizing room upgrades, promoting breakfast packages, upselling and cross-selling hotel facilities and restaurant offers, and contributing to departmental targets.
  • Remain flexible by supporting both Front Office Host and Team Leader responsibilities, adapting to operational needs and ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments, assisting with guest requests such as sofa bed preparation, basic maintenance coordination, and other operational tasks as needed.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately, maintain operational records, and ensure compliance with hotel policies and brand standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a hospitality, hotel management, tourism, or related study programme
  • Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
  • Strong guest service and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial mindset with confidence to promote hotel services
  • Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous experience or strong interest in Front Office or hospitality operations
  • Leadership potential with a proactive and flexible attitude
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in upselling
  • Well organised, detail-oriented, and a team player
  • Dutch or any additional language is an advantage
