You & Your Role

Build reliable technical solutions that make data easier to publish, discover, govern and access. As a DevOps Engineer Data Catalog, you translate business and governance requirements into scalable solutions and work across the full development lifecycle, from analysis and design to testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement. Together with engineers, analysts and architects, you help strengthen data sharing across Rabobank.

  • Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 5,030 and EUR 7,183 (scale 09) for a 36-hour work week.

  • Develop a workflow that streamlines data access requests, approvals and periodic reviews for data consumers and producers.
  • Build integrations and APIs that connect the Data Catalog with services and teams across the Global Data Platform.
  • Help transform AI-enabled data discovery capabilities from experimentation into secure and reliable production services.

Top 3 Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and improve workflows using Collibra, BPMN and Groovy to support metadata management, governance and lifecycle processes.
  • Develop and maintain Java Spring integrations and APIs that connect the Data Catalog to services and teams across the platform.
  • Improve reliability, security and performance through automated validation, monitoring, alerting and production support activities.

You collaborate with business analysts, test engineers, architects and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. You review code, improve engineering practices and contribute to responsible AI-assisted software development while remaining accountable for quality and security.

You & Your Talent

  • Hands-on software development experience in a production environment with a proven ability to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Experience developing Collibra workflows using BPMN and Groovy, combined with Java and Spring integration or API development.
  • Experience with metadata management, data catalogues or data governance, plus version control, code reviews and CI/CD practices in Azure DevOps.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in debugging, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across integrated applications.
  • Proactive ownership of quality, security, deployment and operational stability in production environments.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions clearly in English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
