About Demcon

SeQso develops and manufactures sorting and sowing machines for seed breeders in Europe, Asia and the Americas. As part of Demcon, SeQso has all the expertise required to make its machines more precise, faster and smarter. We develop new solutions for further automation in seed breeding within our own product portfolio. In this way, we contribute to food security, which is under pressure worldwide due to population growth and climate change.

What are you going to do?

As a software engineer, you will participate in and lead the software development of bespoke sowing and sorting systems. You will also be involved in new innovations and developments, with a view to improving and expanding our standard product range.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing imaging and system software for the next generation of sorting and sowing systems
  • Developing control and user interfaces
  • Testing and installing the aforementioned software on systems upon delivery
  • Providing support to our service department in troubleshooting issues

What do you bring to the table?

  • A ‘can-do’ attitude, essential for thriving in a growing, innovative company
  • Experience with C++, C# and Python
  • Experience with Beckhoff/PLC is an advantage
  • An interest in machine automation and control
  • At least two years’ experience in software engineering
  • An MSc or BSc degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics or a related field
