We are seeking an organisational talent to help further professionalise DOCOMOMO International.
Job description
Are you looking for a challenging role with an international perspective? Are you a versatile and ambitious all-rounder who can switch quickly between different responsibilities whilst maintaining the overview? If so, you will be able to make full use of your talents in this role. Your duties will involve a combination of policy support, project supervision and the coordination of the DOCOMOMO International secretariat.
DOCOMOMO International is a non-profit organisation with the aim of documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighbourhoods of the Modern Movement. DOCOMOMO is active in more than 85 countries and regions; for example, it has over 1,000 members, six specialist committees and publishes an academic journal twice a year. There is close collaboration between the Faculty of Architecture, Heritage & Architecture section, and DOCOMOMO International.
The outlines of the policy and activities within the wider field of modern built heritage are set every two years at a major international conference. Day-to-day management is in the hands of the Chair, Prof. Uta Pottgiesser, and the Secretary General, Dr Wido Quist. As an organiser and implementer, you will contribute proactively to the policy. You will organise meetings and events, manage membership administration, handle PR and communications (website, newsletter and social media), and support fundraising for projects. In addition, you will be responsible for providing secretarial support to the Executive Committee of DOCOMOMO International and will be part of the editorial team of the DOCOMOMO Journal. Finally, you will support and facilitate the Open Journal System for the DOCOMOMO Journal.
