Job Description

As International Key Account Manager – Personal Health you represent Philips externally towards top global international retail partners. In collaboration with commercial leaders, you lead the international negotiations to optimize best outcomes and values for international agreements. While developing knowledge across geographies and in-depth understanding of customer at market axis, you team up with commercial teams around the globe to define account strategy and drive profitable high growth opportunities. The ultimate goal is to maximize mutual value and develop strong international partnerships, always prioritizing a collaborative approach with key stakeholders at all levels to enable the markets to create value whilst leveraging the international relationships to achieve higher than average growth.

Your role:

Develop Sales Plans and Account(s) Strategies:

  • Translate Philips channel strategies towards (international) customer strategies.
  • Coordinate clear and achievable strategies, objectives and tactical plans for the Account based on the Central Sales leadership defined strategic objectives, segmentation, commercial policies and pocket price waterfall.
  • Partner with the Central Sales leadership on strategic account planning and business reviews of top customers.
  • Gain and maintain market information and knowledge in order to obtain and maintain the targeted market shares across the assigned product portfolio.

Drive Performance of Account(s):

  • Represent Philips externally as first point of contact.
  • Create sustainable relationships and simplified processes with the management of the Account(s).
  • Secure alignment with the Accounts to the commercial plans that are within the Central Sales leadership defined frameworks, including revenue growth management, global pricing conditions and pocket price waterfall.
  • Ensure that commercial efforts are focused on driving sell-out and profitable growth through establishing key commercial and operational plans for sales fundamentals like distribution and promotional planning.

Demonstrate Operational Excellence:

  • Drive continuous improvement via lean.
  • Ensure uncompromised implementation of the standard Philips business processes, quality standards and standards of business conduct according to Philips policies.

You're the right fit if:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in international Key Account Management.
  • Experience in building and executing a strategy for a multinational account.
  • Experience in category management, launching NPI, supply chain improvement projects and portfolio management.
  • Negotiation and relationship management.
  • Indirect leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement using Lean methodologies.
  • Strong portfolio and product knowledge.
  • Understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Proficiency in standard business processes, tools and systems.
  • Commercial coaching, performance management and operating cadence.
  • Strategic mindset with a long-term business perspective.
  • Ability to develop plans and align stakeholders around common objectives.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Adaptability and effectiveness in changing business environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week in the Netherlands, Amsterdam.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. Travel approximately 20% outside of Netherlands.
