Company: AkzoNobel

We welcome applications from experienced professionals with relevant expertise — even if you don't meet every requirement. If this role excites you, we'd love to hear from you.

At AkzoNobel, our Commercial Excellence and Margin Management teams play a critical role in driving profitable growth by improving pricing capabilities, commercial processes and data-driven decision making across our global business.

About the Role

As a Program Implementation Manager – Margin Management Performance, you will play a key role in enabling and embedding AkzoNobel's global Margin Management Performance (MMP) framework. You will drive the implementation of standardised processes, reporting and analytics that improve pricing performance and margin management across our Business Units.

Working closely with Commercial, Finance, IT, Master Data Management and regional stakeholders, you will help establish consistent global standards, implement robust reporting and performance management processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen commercial decision making.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced programme or process improvement professional who enjoys working across functions, leading change and delivering measurable business value in a global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Drive global implementation: Support the development and rollout of AkzoNobel's global Margin Management Performance framework across Business Units and functions.
  • Develop reporting and analytics: Design and implement standard reporting, KPIs and performance dashboards that provide clear visibility of pricing performance, margin delivery and improvement opportunities.
  • Enable data-driven decision making: Work with Finance, IT and Master Data teams to ensure consistent reporting definitions, reliable data and effective integration with business planning processes, including Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Lead process standardisation: Develop and document global standard processes, ensuring they are embedded across systems, accessible to stakeholders and supported by appropriate governance.
  • Deliver continuous improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities, reduce complexity and drive initiatives that improve margin performance and commercial effectiveness across the organisation.

Other Responsibilities

  • Lead or coordinate projects supporting global margin management process improvements and system implementations.
  • Build strong relationships with Business Unit Pricing & Margin Leads and cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption of global standards.
  • Develop process documentation, training materials and best practice guidance to support successful implementation.
  • Establish and facilitate global communities of practice, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing and capability development.
  • Monitor implementation progress, manage risks and report programme performance to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT and Master Data Management teams to ensure system developments support global margin management objectives.

What We're Looking For

You don't have to tick every box — we value commercial insight, curiosity and a collaborative mindset.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Experience leading business transformation, programme implementation or process improvement initiatives within a multinational organisation.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, commercial excellence, margin management or commercial finance processes.
  • Experience developing reporting frameworks, KPIs and business performance dashboards.
  • Proven project management skills, with experience delivering cross-functional initiatives across complex organisations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to work across multiple business functions and levels.
  • Experience working with business systems, data management and process governance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

Desirable

  • Experience within pricing, commercial excellence, sales operations or commercial finance.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), business intelligence platforms and enterprise reporting tools.
  • Experience with process modelling and documentation tools such as Signavio or similar platforms.
  • Additional European language skills are advantageous.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering or another quantitative discipline.
  • Master's degree (MBA, MSc or equivalent) is desirable.

What Makes This Role a Great Opportunity

  • Help shape how pricing and margin management are embedded across a leading global organisation.
  • Work on high-impact programmes that directly improve commercial performance and profitability.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Commercial, Finance and Digital functions.
