Your mission

For this journey we are seeking a business unit data analyst capable of combining analytical skills, curiosity, critical thinking, sensitivity and entrepreneurship to facilitate the business in defining and realizing data and AI solutions.

As a Business Unit Data Analyst, you maintain close relationships with business subject matter experts and (potential) end users of the solutions as well as with the global Data & Analytics team consisting of data analysts, data product managers, data engineers and data architects.

What will you be doing?

• Identify and discuss data analytics opportunities and business cases by checking in with BU NL people, and translate these business requirements into appealing, trusted, and easy-to-use data visualizations and data products.
• Create data models and data pipeline specifications and ensure compliance with data governance requirements.
• Ensure data products are findable, accessible, interoperable and well described in our data catalog.
• Establish and monitor processes that ensure the data products are in accordance with the requirements of the data consumers and SLAs. Timely act upon incidents and problems to ensure operation is restored according to its service levels.
• Act as the linking pin between BU NL people and Global Ops & IT data analysts / architects (sprint planning and development are standardly driven by Global Ops & IT).
• Optimize the usage of data & analytics solutions.

Does this sound like you?

• Bachelor / Master degree in Business Informatics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience, with consistent experience in Business Intelligence (BI), Python, Cloud data platforms (Snowflake), and data visualization tooling (Qlik Sense); knowledge of tank terminal processes is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven skill in building and maintaining a strong internal network across different departments.
• Experience with SQL, agile scrum ways of working, and data catalog & AI tooling (data.world).
• Excellent influencing and communication skills, including mandatory fluency in both written and spoken Dutch and English.
• Demonstrated strong teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel/drive to our terminals in the Netherlands as needed.
