At Cortena, we're building the AI execution layer for finance operations in SMEs. We have paying clients, real workflows running in production, and a product that is evolving fast — which means there is always something worth telling the market about, and never enough hands to tell it well.

This is a Startup Guerrilla Marketing Intern role with real ownership from day one.

Job description

Why this role exists

Reach today is fragmented. Outreach lives in one tool, social in another, newsletters somewhere else, events in someone's calendar. Each channel works in isolation, but the story across them is inconsistent and a lot of it runs manually. Your job is to make our growth engine run — automate the repetitive outreach, keep our channels alive with content people actually want to read, and turn our events and partnerships into reach we can compound.

You bridge creative (what we say and how it looks) and systems (how it gets sent, tracked, and repeated). You will work directly with our founding team, own real channels from day one, and have your work in front of clients, investors, and partners every week.

This is not a content-calendar-filling role. You will have real ownership from day one.

What you will do

Outreach & automation (core)

  • Set up and maintain outreach automations (sequences, enrichment, follow-ups) so the right people hear from us without manual sending every time.
  • Manage lists, segments, and CRM hygiene so campaigns target the right audience and performance can be measured.
  • Wire up tools such as automation platforms, AI, and CRM so campaigns or sequences can be relaunched quickly.
  • Track open, reply, and conversion rates, identify underperformance, and improve copy and targeting based on results.

Content & awareness

  • Plan and produce social and awareness content across LinkedIn and Instagram, tailored to each platform.
  • Write and publish the newsletter, shaping the angle, drafting it, and maintaining a reliable rhythm.
  • Repurpose existing material such as talks, podcast episodes, and event recaps into multiple formats.
  • Keep the brand voice consistent and recognizable across all outgoing content.

Events, webinars & partnerships

  • Help plan and run partnership events and webinars, from concept and guest outreach to promotion and follow-up.
  • Coordinate with partners and co-hosts so joint formats happen effectively and generate reach for both sides.
  • Turn every event into content through recaps, clips, posts, and follow-up sequences.
  • Track what each format returns, including signups, attendance, and leads, and use that insight to improve future activities.

What we are looking for

Must-have

  • Genuine interest in growth, brand, and how startups get attention.
  • A creative eye and a strong pen, with the ability to write natural copy and make things look intentional.
  • Comfort with automation and AI tools, using them to remove repetitive work while understanding their limits.
  • Organized and self-driven, able to run multiple channels and events at once.
  • Detail-oriented, noticing and correcting anything off-brand, off-tone, or off-schedule.
  • Full ownership mindset, taking responsibility for goals and seeing them through to real results.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with outreach or automation tools such as Lemlist, Instantly, Clay, n8n, Zapier, HubSpot, or similar.
  • Basic design ability using tools such as Figma or Claude Design, and comfort editing short video clips.
  • Experience running a newsletter, community, or event series.
  • German language skills.

What you will get

  • Direct exposure to founding-team decision making at an early-stage AI startup.
  • A front-row seat to how an AI finance product is taken to market.
  • Hands-on experience with real outreach, content, and event systems.
