By ensuring that bol’s most complex, high-stakes strategic initiatives hit the mark. As the Head of Program Management for Product, Tech & Data, you own the execution performance of programs that define bol’s next chapter: AI adoption at scale, infrastructure enablement, new business models, and cost impact initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to turn strategic ambitions into operational reality for 14 million customers and 43,300 partners. Your department-wide mandate includes direct line management of senior program and project management leads, and indirect influence over Product, Tech & Data leadership. You report to the Director Strategy, Portfolio & Excellence.

The biggest challenge

Program management at this level isn’t about keeping Gantt charts up to date. It’s about turning strategic ambition into operational reality across programs that span multiple domains, bridge competing priorities, and carry significant financial, operational, and strategic risk. You will drive ambitious initiatives while developing, inspiring, and committing a team of program and project managers.

What you will do

You lead and develop the program and project managers within Product, Tech & Data, building a high-performing capability that operates consistently and at department scale. You translate portfolio decisions into structured, executable programs. You oversee alignment, integration, and dependencies across strategic programs and domains. And you manage value realization; measurable business impact is your favorite KPI.

This role has two objectives: building and developing an exemplary long-term program management capability, while ensuring the most critical programs don't lose momentum, coherence, or accountability. In practice:

• Own execution performance and delivery quality across cross-functional strategic programs
• Ensure superb alignment, integration, and dependency management across strategic programs and domains
• Drive and safeguard value realization: efficiency gains, cost impact, scalability, and adoption
• Execute and scale AI transformation initiatives, ensuring sustained organization-wide impact beyond the pilot stage
• Safeguard delivery success by protecting scope, dependencies, resourcing, and decision-making conditions, including cross-program dependencies and system-level risks
• Assign and supervise work, escalating decisively when required to safeguard outcomes
• Manage clear prioritization, role clarity, professional development, and consistent ways of working
• Ensure strategic programs are robustly embedded in the organization with effective handovers to line and operational teams

You bring relevant expertise in program and project management disciplines at the department level, and a proven track record in leading, developing, and aligning senior program and project management professionals.
