We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and people-focused People & Places Intern to join VanMoof's People Team in Amsterdam. This internship is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in office management, workplace experience, facilities, and employee engagement within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You'll support the day-to-day operations of our Amsterdam locations while helping create an exceptional workplace experience for employees and visitors. From coordinating office services and supporting events to assisting with facilities and employee experience initiatives, you'll play an important role in ensuring our offices remain welcoming, efficient, and enjoyable places to work.
Working closely with the People Team and colleagues across the business, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of operational and people-focused responsibilities while developing valuable project management and communication skills.
What you'll do
- Support the day-to-day operations of our Amsterdam office locations, helping ensure they are safe, welcoming, well-maintained, and provide a great workplace experience for employees and visitors.
- Assist with workplace and facilities management, including coordinating office maintenance and repairs, cleaning services, office supplies, furniture, workspace organization, health & safety initiatives, and continuous workplace improvements.
- Help manage office services and vendor relationships by coordinating with building management and external suppliers, processing deliveries, managing office supplies, groceries, merchandise, mail, access control, and supporting invoice administration.
- Provide day-to-day support to employees by responding to workplace requests, welcoming visitors, communicating office updates, maintaining shared spaces, and identifying opportunities to improve the office environment.
- Assist in organizing internal office events and celebrations, including Friday drinks, seasonal events, company gatherings, and end-of-year activities by supporting planning, venue research, catering coordination, and event execution.
- Coordinate and support our bi-weekly office lunches, including menu planning, placing orders, communications, invitations, and delivery coordination.
- Research and help develop local partnerships and employee perks that contribute to a positive employee experience.
- Partner with the People Team on workplace culture initiatives, helping create an engaging, inclusive office environment that reflects VanMoof's values.
What you'll bring
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality, Facility Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience through internships, part-time work, volunteering, hospitality, customer service, or student organizations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to learn by doing.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Dutch is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating great experiences for employees and visitors.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the confidence to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with people.
- Interest in office management, workplace experience, facilities, events, or employee engagement.
- Based in or around Amsterdam, with the ability to work from the office four days a week.
