At Karl Lagerfeld, the Wholesale Operations Intern supports day-to-day wholesale activities within the department, ranging from data analysis and reporting to key account support, oversight of product flows, and direct contact with internal and external stakeholders of the brand. This position offers hands-on experience within the fashion industry, along with professional guidance and personal development opportunities through personal research projects.

The Role

  • Assist wholesale team members in managing and overseeing end-to-end outbound operations, including inventory management, seasonal orderbook management, pricing, promotions, and maintaining a customer service-centric approach to all work.
  • Support the wholesale team and customers as a first point of contact in the office by providing information on the seasonal line, prices, reporting, and by acting as a link to other departments in the organization.
  • Take full ownership and monitor the outbound flow of goods during the shipping season.
  • Maintain a helicopter overview of processes and information flow between the sales, merchandising, and logistics departments and anticipate implications for operations and customers further down the line.
  • Challenge numbers and information derived from reports and spot mistakes immediately.
  • Use basic Excel skills, including familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, and work with ERP systems.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written; another European language is a plus.
  • You have excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • You are strong in building and maintaining relationships and work collaboratively with different departments.
  • You are proactive, think ahead, bring structure to your work, and are independent.
  • You communicate openly, honestly, and constructively.
  • You have a strong interest in Wholesale Management and fashion.
  • You possess excellent customer service skills.
