Are you looking for a student job this summer, and experienced in composite manufacturing? We'd love to hear from you!

Who We Ware

SINTEG Systems is a TU Delft spin-off based at YES!Delft, developing advanced sensor systems for the inspection and monitoring of composite materials. Our mission is to advance the safety and reliability of composite structures, enabling lighter, more efficient and longer-lasting materials for a sustainable and resilient future across civil and defence sectors.

We are a young and ambitious team driven by innovation and collaboration. Our wireless systems enable real-time, non-intrusive assessment of composite structures, removing the need for disassembly or destructive testing. With our proprietary algorithms and smart hardware, we deliver scalable and cost-effective solutions that ensure the safety and performance of next-generation composite structures in aviation, renewables, defence, and other demanding sectors.

The Role

As a Working Student – Composite Manufacturing, you'll play a key role in the development of our technology by producing high-quality bonded composite test panels with artificial defects and performing the validation testing needed to confirm their quality. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain experience with advanced materials, work across several ongoing projects, and collaborate directly with our industry partners — contributing to the success of our R&D and product development efforts.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Co-design and manufacture bonded composite panels with artificial defects
  • Execution of mechanical tests (e.g., lap shear, peel tests) and quality control (C-scans)
  • Maintain lab documentation and support continuous improvement of manufacturing protocols
  • Work closely with our engineers to ensure high reproducibility and quality of samples

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior experience with composite manufacturing techniques (e.g., hand lay-up, vacuum bagging, autoclave)
  • Comfortable working in a lab or workshop setting
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to follow technical procedures accurately
  • Enrolled in a TU Delft BSc or MSc program (Aerospace (preferred), Mechanical, Materials Science, etc.)
  • Available for at least 2 days per week

What We Offer

  • €18/hour starting wage
  • Flexible working hours to fit your academic commitments
  • Immediate start possible and preferred
  • A chance to work with a driven, supportive team at the cutting edge of composite technology

Interested?

We’d love to hear from you! Additional questions? Reach out via hr@sintegsystems.com, we're happy to chat.

We're developing the next generation of advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies for composite materials.
