As an Inventory Planner, you make sure seed moves smoothly from harvest to customer — balancing cost, quality, speed, and reliability along the way.
What you'll do
- Turn harvested seed into ready-to-sell stock, matching capacity with demand
- Decide which batches get shipping priority
- Track incoming seed and send clear instructions to the production site
- Get seed to "ready to sell" status within 12 months, meeting all quality rules
- Build realistic capacity plans together with other planners
- Manage older or lower-quality stock (write-offs, quality checks)
- Hand over smoothly to the team managing short-term stock and orders
- Help prioritize when supply is tight
- Spot and solve supply issues early — escalate when needed
- Check batches meet import rules for their destination country; request extra testing if needed
- Work closely with harvesting, treatment, packing, and transport teams
- Bring ideas to improve how the team works
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or similar
- 4+ years' experience in a business or supply chain role
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong communication skills — clear and confident with colleagues and managers
- Quick, sound decision-making under pressure
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with data and basic statistics
- Used to working with international teams
- Microsoft Office skills; SAP and Spotfire are a plus
