Job Description

The Business Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the regional category strategy for Male Grooming in Western Europe. This role acts as PIP (Functional Lead) for Male Grooming in Western Europe Organization and is responsible for one regional category directly.

This role drives category portfolio strategy, go-to-market planning, and successful product introductions to accelerate sell-out growth, strengthen market share, and ensure a winning portfolio across the region.

Working closely with the global Male Grooming team, regional and zone teams, and cross-functional partners, this role ensures regional consumer and shopper insights are translated into strong go-to-market strategies and flawless execution.

Your role:

Regional Category & Business Strategy

  • Responsible for the Male Grooming Business including P&L ownership for the Western Europe Region.
  • Develop and deliver the regional business plan for the category in Western Europe, aligned with global strategy and annual operating plans, in close collaboration with zones, while acting as a key interface and influencer to the global Business teams and determining key enablers to win in the market.
  • Act as the key regional marketing interface to global Business Units, ensuring regional market insights influence global strategy and portfolio decisions.
  • Own the Regional Marketing Plan priorities across the 18-month planning horizon.

Portfolio Strategy & Management

  • Define and implement the regional portfolio strategy, including product lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, and phase-in/phase-out decisions.
  • Ensure strong execution of New Product Introductions across the region in line with the Market Introduction Process.
  • Identify and drive regional commercial innovation opportunities in alignment with global and regional priorities.

Go-to-Market

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive category growth across prioritized channels and markets, and drive promotional strategies in collaboration with regional and local teams.
  • Partner with commercial teams to translate strategies into impactful consumer and shopper activation plans.
  • Partner with the Supply team to deliver the 18-month demand planning process for relevant sub-categories.

Consumer, Shopper & Market Insights

  • Together with the Consumer Strategy and Engagement team, drive strategies based on deep audience-specific insights (consumer and shopper), resulting in category-specific omni-channel experiences and shopper journeys for prioritized channels, including marketing budget and media channel mix planning and delivery against product priorities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and category performance to continuously optimize strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with Insights and Analytics teams to identify opportunities and close knowledge gaps.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Planning

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration within the region to realize priorities.
  • Ensure alignment between portfolio strategy, supply planning, and commercial execution.

PIP Role

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration for the Male Grooming Team and represent the team across Western Europe.
  • Drive focus on critical business priorities and translate strategy into action.
  • Lead and align stakeholders through influence without direct authority.
  • Coach and empower teams to build ownership and capability.
  • Own cross-category projects, leading cross-functional collaboration across marketing, commercial, supply chain, and global teams to deliver aligned regional strategies.
  • Own and optimize the P&L to secure impactful business plan execution.

Competencies & Experience

  • Masters Degree.
  • Proven experience in marketing, commercial, and/or portfolio strategy, ideally within a multinational organization.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate insights into winning market strategies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing global stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using market and category data (e.g., GfK, IMS) and leveraging LEAN methodology.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, along with influencing skills and natural authority.
  • Ability to deal with complexity and eagerness to simplify.
  • Ability to inspire collaboration and drive execution in complex, matrix organizations, with the spirit of radical collaboration.
  • Eager and willing to experiment with AI-driven marketing tools, automation, and analytics to improve productivity.
  • High learning agility.

Compensation & benefits

Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is €93,049.00 - €155,081.00.

We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. This role is eligible for a 6% short term incentive, with rewards linked to both individual performance and company results. Benefits include hybrid working, paid time-off, health and wellbeing benefits, and learning and development opportunities.
