Intern Polymer Technology

Bij Corbion werk je als intern aan duurzame ingrediënten op basis van natuurlijke grondstoffen, met een bijdrage aan het behoud van voedsel en voedselproductie, gezondheid en onze planeet.

As an intern, you’ll bring a solid applied technical background—ideally in polymer chemistry—and work both independently and under supervision of the scientist Product Development. You’ll spend most of your time in the lab, collaborating with colleagues from Product Development and Polymer Technology. You will be conducting polymer syntheses and microstructural analyses. You’re eager to learn, pragmatic, and thrive in a dynamic, informal environment. You’re fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

• Executing lab experiments and data analysis
• Understand the technical context of experiments
• Timely reporting of results

Your Profile

• 4th year bachelor student (HBO) or master student in (polymer) chemistry
• Extensive hands-on experience with organic syntheses in the lab
• Acquainted with basic lab safety rules
• Skilled in properly documenting your research, both in lab journals and reports
• Skilled in experimental design and execution
• Experience with in-line characterization methods is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Research-oriented mindset
• Enjoy working in a vibrant, informal environment
• You are able and willing to commute to Gorinchem (NL) on a daily basis
• The duration of your internship is min. 6 months
