As an R&D Intern in Global Process Technology, you will help improve and future-proof evaporation process models, physical property models, and digital data visualization tools. These tools support process scale-up from pilot to full production and are essential for development and CAPEX projects. Your assignment will focus on translating existing models into robust, maintainable formats, improving reliability and usability, and developing new functionalities through programming.
What you will do
The internship position is set up to be supervised and mentored by the Evaporation, Drying, Powder Handling, and Energy cluster. Next to your work as an intern, you will participate as a valuable team member within the R&D community and learn from fellow team members. You will work on translating and modernizing existing calculation tools, programming and developing digital functionalities for data interpretation, communicating results back, and presenting achievements within the team.
What we Ask
- Master’s student in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
- Affinity with process modeling, model validation, physical property correlations, and equation-driven models
- Programming skills, notably Python or similar
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to numerical accuracy
- Ability to structure and translate complex technical information into robust tools
- Proactive, independent, and eager to learn in an R&D environment
- Good communication skills in English
