Senior Technologist (all genders)

Plant Veghel is preparing for the future and aiming to continuously improve and change. You will be responsible for improving our processes and contributing to quality, sustainability and robustness at the largest plant of FrieslandCampina. With the scope of the production process of pharma lactose, we are looking for a driven and proactive Senior Technologist with affinity for process optimisation in a demanding factory and CAPEX design.

What we ask

• Relevant Master degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Data Science or similar;
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the food or pharma industry;
• Able to communicate on different levels and motivate people, with strong stakeholder management skills;
• Able to lead projects and initiatives with multiple disciplines, such as process optimisation or recipe changes;
• Solid communication skills in English; Dutch is considered a nice to have;
• Well-developed planning and organization skills;
• Driven to take proactive ownership by analyzing and offering solutions;
• Certified Six Sigma.

• A work week of 32 to 38 hours, a 5% year-end allowance, 10% company bonus, 8% holiday allowance and a pension scheme;

Vacancy Description

You will be part of a professional team with around 25 technologists. As a Senior Process Technologist your duties and responsibilities include:

• Improving processes that contribute to safety, quality, yield and/or sustainability improvement or cost reduction;
• Leading the implementation of new processes and investments, and introducing new approaches and solutions for existing processes affecting the whole value chain;
• Acquiring and trending profound detailed knowledge and data-based insights of product and process;
• Leading complex root cause analysis in case of complaints, quality or process deviations (troubleshooting);
• Steering and advising internal and external stakeholders, including customers, on complex process-related matters;
• Coaching colleagues across the technology team;
• Playing an active role in generating input for and implementing the Technology strategy of site Veghel focused on sustainability, digitization and know-how valorisation.
