Plant Controller - Deventer

We are looking for a Plant Controller to join our manufacturing site in Deventer and become a trusted business partner to site leadership.

In this highly visible role, you will combine financial expertise with commercial and operational insight to help drive performance, improve profitability, and support key business decisions.

What You'll Do

As Plant Controller, you will serve as the financial leader at the Deventer plant and work closely with both local management and corporate finance teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading monthly financial reporting and management accounting activities
• Supporting plant leadership with cost analysis, profitability insights, and decision-making tools
• Driving forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes
• Monitoring manufacturing costs and identifying opportunities for operational improvement
• Performing variance analyses and translating findings into actionable recommendations
• Managing inventory accounting, fixed assets, and internal controls
• Supporting capital investment projects through ROI analysis and expenditure tracking
• Leading cost reduction initiatives and helping improve overall site performance
• Ensuring accurate and timely submission of budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and financial reports

What We're Looking For

You are a hands-on finance professional who enjoys being close to the business and influencing outcomes.

You bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Approximately 10 years of professional finance experience
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong cost accounting background
• Strong analytical and business partnering skills
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities
• The confidence to challenge the status quo and drive improvements
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• A proactive, results-oriented, and highly organized approach
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or experience with Activity Based Costing is considered an advantage

This is an on-site position. Regular presence at the plant is required to effectively support operations and engage with stakeholders.
