Department Manager - PBF (Zoetermeer, Fulltime)

Are you ready to become the Department Manager for our PBF (Plastic Bottle Filling) department? This role is part of our Specialized Nutrition factory located in Zoetermeer. In this factory (with over 500 Danoners) we produce specialized liquid medical nutrition contributing to the well-being of vulnerable target groups (infants, elderly and sick) in over 55 countries. This is the largest production plant for advanced medical nutrition, demanding the highest standards in quality and safety.

In our PBF department we ensure that all our PBF plastic bottles are filled and packed. Our main challenges for the coming years are to keep delivering with the highest level of safety, producing with high “right first time” performance, bringing OE sustainably to a higher level and working in the best cost efficient way. In the role of Department Manager PBF you manage around 6 direct reports. You’ll report to the manufacturing director.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Leading SQCDME performance and improvement by driving implementation the Integrated Work System (IWS)
• Define and execute the yearly priorities of the department in line with the Factory Strategic Plan by creating conditions for high performance
• Lead operationally and develop your team on both functional competencies and Danone behaviours to create high performing teams

About you

To be successful in the role of Department Manager we expect you to have an university degree with around 5 – 8 years of relevant working experience within a factory environment. In addition your profile should contain:

• Strong people leader capabilities with coaching skills
• Knowledge and experience in dealing with organizational changes
• Ability to challenge the status quo and generate breakthrough results
• Analytical way of thinking
• Proficiency in Dutch language is a pre.
