You are responsible for

As a Trade-In Manager for IGT globally, you play an important role in the sustainability and circularity goals of Philips. Philips has made a clear pledge to offer a trade-in for all Philips medical equipment. You are responsible for driving global trade-in strategy and execution across the IGT Systems portfolio. The role focuses on enabling installed base replacement opportunities, maximizing lifecycle value, and ensuring a sustainable supply of systems to support Philips Circular Equipment programs.

You will drive the take-back of systems, circularity, and boost win rate of replacement Philips deals. Trade-in is the backbone of Circularity, taking care of inflow for the Circular Portfolio and parts recovery to secure enough parts of the current install base, supporting the target of 25% sales from circular products and services.

Working in a highly cross-functional and international environment, the Trade-In Manager collaborates closely with Markets, Regions, Business Teams, Operations, and external partners to develop competitive trade-in propositions, optimize commercial performance, and support business growth.

  • Be an expert for your respective modality to develop trade-in campaigns as part of the BU Philips replacement strategies.
  • Closely collaborate with all Market Sales organizations to support their success in winning replacement opportunities and maximize socket retention by providing attractive trade-in solutions through finding a new purpose and value for the system potentially traded in.
  • Ensure timely and compliant supply of trade-in systems to support Circular Equipment programs to fulfill customer demand for circular systems.
  • Define and drive global trade-in strategy, KPIs, and performance tracking in line with organization priorities.
  • Analyze trade-in funnel performance and market insights to identify improvement opportunities and drive commercial excellence.
  • Drive Close the Loop and installed base win-rate for Philips replacement opportunities, working closely with Sales teams (e.g., KAM, AM, Sales Specialists, and Indirect Channel managers) to maximize trade-in attachment rate to replacement opportunities and win deals.
  • Liaise with marketing in both CE and Businesses to obtain new marcom updates and integrate proof points of trade-in for customers.
  • Be an active member of the CE Modality team, support Circular Equipment sales and order intake by leading forecasting activities for trade-in system supply, supporting S&OP and business planning processes.
  • Contribute to maximizing the financial value of returned systems (reuse, refurbish, parts harvesting).
  • Establish standardized processes and governance across regions and train key stakeholders in the regions in trade-in processes accordingly.
  • Drive digital enablement and data transparency for trade-in performance.

You are a part of

A very dynamic, purposefully driven business: Circular Lifetime Solutions (CLS). Within CLS you will be part of the Trade-in Team and report to the Global Lead Trade-In Management. This team works across markets, business, and functions. As a team, we drive the trade-in program to ensure full circularity of our own equipment.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:

  • A purpose-driven mindset with high interest in sustainability and circularity.
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in dealing with medical equipment.
  • IGT product knowledge is an absolute advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business actions.
  • Continuous improvement and Lean mindset.
  • A creative problem solver and a team player.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of IB Renewal, Customer Retention, and Trade-in practices.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with forecasting or commercial performance management, operating with a financial ownership mindset (value, margin, ROI).
  • Ability to build and nurture effective relationships within the matrix by developing strong cooperation with peers within the regions, cross-business, and cross-function, and comfort interacting with senior leadership.
