At Royal Agrifirm Group, we're looking for a Junior or Medior Data Engineer to help develop and maintain our Azure Data Platform. Together with your colleagues, you will work on our Azure data platform, where data from various internal and external sources, structured and unstructured, is collected, processed and made available to business users, analysts and data scientists. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their skills in Azure, Databricks, dbt, SQL, Python and modern data platform technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Transform and model data using dbt.
  • Connect new internal and external data sources to the platform.
  • Help ensure data quality, consistency and reliability across datasets.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI specialists and Data Scientists.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements.
  • Work according to Agile/Scrum principles.
  • Learn and apply best practices in Data Engineering, DevOps and CI/CD.

You will be part of the BI & Data Engineering team within Group IT Business Applications and work closely with colleagues from different business domains. You will report to the IT Lead BI & Data Engineering.

Our offer

  • An extensive introduction program.
  • Approx. 36 free days (23 holidays & 13 ATV based on a full-time job).
  • Laptop and an iPhone.
  • Good secondary employment conditions.
  • Extensive development opportunities through our Agrifirm Academy.

What can we find on your CV?

  • At least 1-3 years of working experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering or a related field.
  • Must-have tooling experience: Azure, Databricks, SQL, python.
  • Nice-to-have tooling experience: Azure Data Factory, dbt, git, CI/CD, terraform or infrastructure as code.
  • Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • At least a Bachelor degree, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Econometrics or a similar discipline.
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills, with good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
