Description

What if your analytical skills could shape the strategic direction of a global insurer? As Strategic Portfolio Consultant, you'll play a key role in connecting strategy, finance, and leadership, ensuring that every investment decision moves Allianz closer to its ambitions.

Reporting to the Strategic Portfolio Steering & Benefits Realization lead, you will ensure that project investments align with Allianz's strategic priorities. You'll collaborate with senior executives, including the CEO and board members, to prioritize budgets, track benefits, and drive portfolio decisions. This role is ideal for an analytical thinker with strong stakeholder management skills who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.

What We Offer

  • High impact and senior exposure: work directly with C-level executives and board members
  • A dynamic, international environment with global career perspectives
  • Professional growth through training, mentoring, and leadership development
  • Flexible hybrid working model with a healthy work-life balance
  • Competitive salary package with comprehensive benefits
  • An innovative culture that values strategic thinking and continuous improvement
  • Stimulating teamwork within a multidisciplinary, high-performing team

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the annual project portfolio development process, ensuring project spend aligns with overall strategy
  • Help prioritize change budgets and ensure business case quality across the portfolio
  • Review new project submissions, evaluating strategic fit and expected value
  • Coordinate quarterly project portfolio reviews to track project benefits against OKRs
  • Assist in quarterly budget release cycles and perform controlling on project costs
  • Support board members in refining budget requests and preparing decision-making documentation
  • Develop clear communication strategies around portfolio decisions and build engaging stakeholder relationships
  • Leverage relevant tools to support portfolio reporting and analysis

Your Profile

You hold a Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field and bring relevant experience in portfolio management, business analysis, or strategic planning. You have hands-on expertise in business case development, benefits tracking, and financial analysis, ideally complemented by familiarity with OKR frameworks and benefits realization methodologies.

You communicate confidently at executive level, think analytically, and take initiative in complex environments. Proficiency in English is essential; training in portfolio management or strategic analysis is a plus.

At Allianz, we're always on the lookout for individuals who are enthusiastic about AI and Data Analytics to shape the future and drive innovation across our organization.
