Are you ready to kick-start your career at one of the world’s most iconic companies?

At Unilever, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute within a global business committed to making sustainable living commonplace.

What makes this internship exciting?

As a Communications Intern, you’ll be at the heart of the transformation journey. You’ll be part of the Global Internal Communications team, supporting employee engagement across the Rotterdam HQ and beyond, working on the corporate brand while interacting with iconic brands.

This is an opportunity to help shape communication during a time of change, while building skills in storytelling, stakeholder and project management, and community building.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build your understanding of Internal Communications by supporting communication efforts during a period of organizational change.
  • Support project and stakeholder management by assisting in the planning and execution of internal and external activities and events, engaging with cross-functional teams and different stakeholder profiles.
  • Strengthen the community by contributing to initiatives that connect and inspire colleagues across the Rotterdam office, including responsibility for local channels focused on narrowcasting and VivaEngage.
  • Create communication assets for internal campaigns and activations that reflect the evolving brand identity, including written texts and design/editing in Canva.
  • Contribute to building the corporate brand by creating content for Unilever's social media platforms, helping to shape its voice and identity externally.

You’re the perfect fit if:

  • You’re available for 5 to 6 months starting August-September 2026.
  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s, for example in communications, political science, or sustainability.
  • You have a demonstrated interest in business and sustainability through study, additional classes, or extra activities.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
  • You are eager and excited to learn.
  • You excel in communication.
  • You are proactive.

Why you’ll love working with us

  • A €625 gross/month allowance.
  • Travel reimbursement if you don’t have a student travel card.
  • Fun and engaging intern programs, including onboarding, events, and activities with fellow interns.
  • Access to extensive training programs for personal and professional growth.
  • A flexible working environment tailored to your success.
  • A behind-the-scenes experience at one of the world’s largest and most innovative FMCG companies.
