As a Data Scientist Partner - Logistics and Finance, you ensure partners set accurate, fast delivery promises that directly drive customer satisfaction and revenue.

How do you make our customers happy?

By ensuring partners set accurate, fast delivery promises that directly drive customer satisfaction and revenue.

You will use data and models to optimize the delivery promise for partners—because shorter, more reliable delivery times directly drive revenue.

By analyzing large-scale logistics and behavioral data, you uncover patterns, identify bottlenecks, and improve the accuracy of delivery predictions. You translate data into models and actionable insights, helping product teams and business stakeholders make better decisions grounded in data.

Your work directly impacts partner performance, customer experience, and business growth by making delivery promises faster, smarter, and more trustworthy.

The biggest challenge

This role demands a strong commitment to improving the accuracy and reliability of delivery promises in a complex, real-world environment. You’ll work with large, messy datasets shaped by operational constraints, partner behavior, and changing demand; there are no simple answers.

Complexity is the norm: predicting delivery times accurately means balancing logistics realities, capacity, and customer expectations. You’ll uncover bottlenecks, analyze patterns, and continuously challenge assumptions to improve how we set and adjust delivery promises. Understanding uncertainty, trade-offs, and the impact of decisions on partners and customers is a key part of the role.

Success comes from analytical independence combined with strong collaboration. You’ll translate complex data into actionable insights, helping teams make better decisions and continuously improve performance. Leadership here means embracing complexity, communicating clearly, and driving data-informed decisions that make delivery promises faster, more reliable, and impactful for the business.

What you will do as Data Scientist Partner - Logistics and Finance

You provide the analytical depth and cross-team influence needed to make our delivery promises accurate, reliable, and competitive. Delivery dynamics constantly evolve—driven by partner behavior, capacity constraints, and changing demand—requiring both strong analytical skills and clear stakeholder guidance.

You combine building machine learning models with strong communication skills, helping teams understand how to interpret data, evaluate trade-offs, and align on the right decisions. You shape how we set and improve delivery promises—not just through analysis and models, but by driving the conversations that lead to better, data-informed choices. You will need to:

  • separate real delivery performance signals from noise and anomalies
  • identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the logistics network
  • quantify uncertainty, variability, and trade-offs in delivery predictions
  • validate hypotheses using strong statistical reasoning
  • improve delivery promise logic using statistical, ML, or optimization techniques
  • guide product and business stakeholders in understanding trade-offs (speed vs reliability vs cost)
  • choose the right modeling approach—and clearly explain why

Why you can make a difference

You bring depth in statistics, econometrics, machine learning, and analytical investigation. You are energized by exploring ambiguous or messy data, reasoning economically about value, uncertainty, and incentives, separating signal from noise, and guiding teams toward the right modeling choices to uncover actionable insights.

3 reasons why this is for you

Ambiguity energizes you

You get energy from solving ambiguous, high-stakes challenges and shaping analytical direction for others.

You enjoy wrestling data (and usually win)

You love diving deep into messy, adversarial data using tools like SQL, BigQuery, and ML frameworks to surface actionable insights.

You’re a cross-team player

You communicate clearly and influence across teams—engineering, product, business—bringing people together to drive.
