What you will do as Internal Communications Manager

As Internal Communications Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of the internal communications strategy for the Water & Maritime business line. You will work closely with business leaders, strategic leads and subject matter experts to translate key priorities and initiatives into engaging communications that support understanding, alignment and employee engagement. You will also collaborate with colleagues across Corporate Communications, Brand, Marketing & Communications and other business functions to ensure consistency, alignment and the effective sharing of best practices across the organisation.

This is a highly collaborative role that combines strategic communications, stakeholder management, content development, digital channel management and event delivery. You will partner with senior leaders to shape communication approaches and key messages, while also leading the execution of communication campaigns, content creation and engagement activities that connect colleagues across the business. Using engagement insights and analytics, you will continuously improve the effectiveness and impact of internal communications.

  • Develop and implement the internal communications strategy for the Water & Maritime business line, ensuring alignment with business objectives, leadership priorities and organisational initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leaders, management team members and strategic stakeholders to provide communications counsel, develop compelling leadership communications and support the visibility of key business priorities and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Lead strategic business line communication programmes, including town halls, leadership webinars, employee engagement campaigns and communications supporting commercial, technical and organisational developments.
  • Own and continuously develop the internal communications channel landscape, including the intranet, newsletters and digital engagement platforms, establishing governance, best practices and a consistent employee experience across all channels.
  • Create and deliver engaging internal communications content, including leadership messages, strategic updates, campaigns, newsletters and key announcements, ensuring content is clear, accessible and aligned with our brand and communication standards.
  • Define and monitor communication success measures, using analytics, engagement data and employee feedback to evaluate effectiveness, optimise channels and continuously improve the impact of internal communications.
