Challenging position for the IBFD Marketing department

The IBFD Global Marketing (& Communication) department is responsible for developing and executing the global marketing strategy and part of the commercial strategy for IBFD and internal communications & market insights and research for the entire organisation. The department supports in driving revenue growth, expanding market share and enhancing brand equity on a global scale. It also plays a key role in advancing IBFD’s purpose. We support the entire organisation to grow sustainably with strong, data and value driven marketing. This entails omnichannel marketing campaigns tailored on ideal client profiles, where client insights form the basis for all client engagements. We support sales with tools, conversation material and insights, and generate qualified leads towards (enterprise) clients. We provide internal communications, product and market insights and research and protect, enhance, and refine the IBFD brand. We are currently looking for a Business Events Intern who will start around mid august to beginning of september.

Task & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning: pre, live, and post-production.
  • Set up and manage events within our CRM system (Dynamics), ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
  • Liaise with and manage program speakers, including Executive Board members, Board of Trustees members, and other participants.
  • Oversee logistics such as venue arrangements, hotel bookings, and entertainment planning.
  • Handle food and beverage (F&B) management for events.
  • Develop and execute clear and effective communication plans related to events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions to enhance event concepts and strategies.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, or a related business field.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Eager to learn, with a curious and adaptive mindset.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and platforms; tech-savvy.
  • Possesses intercultural sensitivity and awareness of multicultural dynamics.
  • A collaborative team player who takes initiative.
