Within Damen, the Damen Data Services team is a professional provider of high-quality data driven solutions and services and the enabler for digital transformation. Damen Data Services' mission is to create business value by data for Damen Shipyards by innovating the digital collaboration between colleagues, yards, ships, customers, and suppliers.

The Damen Data Services team is driving the Data and Analytics journey to define, create and activate a ‘Human Led, Data Powered’ organization.

About the role

The assignment has its focus on assessing and growing the maturity of Data and Analytics capabilities. Within Damen there are between 100 and 200 Data and Analytics professionals who will be part of this assessment. Concretely, the assignment is to conduct the Gartner Data and Analytics Maturity assessment within the Damen organization, resulting in an action plan to grow the maturity level.

Key accountabilities

As an intern, you will:

• Be responsible for conducting the Gartner Data and Analytics Maturity assessment.
• Analyze the assessment and present the results and your findings.
• Validate a plan to grow from maturity level 2 towards the next levels in the upcoming years.

Supervisory and support will be given by Bart Ziemerink, Head of Damen Data Services.

Skills & Experience

At least several skills and experiences from the following list are required to be considered:

• You are a Bachelor or Master student, with high affinity and knowledge about Data.
• You are able to work at the Gorinchem location, fulltime or parttime with a minimum of three days on site.
• You are available at the earliest convenience, for approximately 3 months.
• Proficient in the Office package (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Good command of English, and preferably Dutch too.
