About the role

As an intern in the Compliance Department at Yamaha Motor Europe, you will be introduced to the core principles of Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) within an international business environment. • Serve as a point of contact for European branches and subsidiaries on privacy-related questions and help monitor relevant regulatory developments
  • Assist in Security Trade Control activities, including performing screening checks, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance with international regulations
  • Conduct research on legal and regulatory developments in trade and sanctions to support informed decision-making
  • Support broader compliance initiatives by contributing to projects, preparing presentations, and drafting practical materials such as user guides
  • Provide administrative and coordination support, including maintaining documentation, supporting meetings, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Actively contribute to a collaborative team environment and help promote a strong compliance culture across Yamaha Motor Europe

What do you bring?

  • A registered Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Law or a related field
  • Available 5 days per week for a period of 6 months, including at least 2 office days
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; other European languages are a plus
  • Basic knowledge of European privacy legislation (GDPR) and Company/Business law
  • Strong interest in compliance and privacy, with a proactive and hands-on mindset
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and handle sensitive information
  • Eager to learn, conduct legal research, and apply regulatory developments in a business context
  • Prior work experience is a plus, but not required
  • This position is not suitable for a thesis or research project
