Our development program is a two-year journey designed to give you the time and space to get to know Philips and grow personally and professionally. Personal development is at the heart of the program.

Your assignments

There are 2 positions available where, as a Philips GDP Finance Trainee, you will gain exposure across Financial Planning & Analysis domains. The teams for these assignments play a critical role in providing transparency, insight, and governance over Philips’ global financial performance across businesses and regions. You will be part of highly collaborative, international teams that partner closely with Business Heads of Finance, FP&A teams, and key functional stakeholders. This role offers strong exposure to senior finance leadership, global business overview, cost structures, and strategic productivity programs, while allowing you to develop a solid FP&A foundation.

Group Productivity & Cost management

Your responsibilities will mainly include the following:

  • Track and analyze productivity savings across all financial cycles (quarter close, outlook and annual operating plan).
  • Report out committed 1.5B 3-year productivity externally.
  • Prepare insights for quarterly productivity reviews with Chief Finance Officer and Business Heads of Finance.
  • Support simplification and automation (incl AI) of existing reporting and analysis processes.

Group PP&A

Your responsibilities will mainly include the following:

  • FP&A Library - enabling all FP&A content for different user-groups to prompt their questions to provide answers/insights based on published internal/external performance reports and live dashboards.
  • Free Cash Flow - integrating Machine Learning to FCF forecasting and reporting, cleaning unorganized data and corelating FCF metrics to other KPIs (Sales phasing, adjusting items, earnings, etc), while enabling insights on performance and future-looking trends/predictions.
  • Market Analysis & Forecast - integrating market analysis across the globe (internal/external), generating forecast models for market sizes, therapeutic areas and products in service of Strategic Plan and AOP target setting, while providing insights and visibility on Implied Market Shares.

Exact content of the roles might change; however, the GDP finance assignments will offer you:

  • Exposure to finance skills and knowledge at Philips Group level
  • Hands-on experience in financial planning and analytics and/or cost control and productivity management
  • Close interaction with senior finance stakeholders
  • A strong learning environment focused on simplification, impact, and finance excellence

As a GDP trainee you will receive a 2.5 years, full time employment contract with excellent labour conditions.

You're the right fit if:

  • Recently graduated Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent and available per 1st September 2026
  • While we look for finance enthusiasts, we are open for candidates with experience in other functions prior and committed to moving to Finance for longer-term career path
  • Max 1 years of work experience straight after your graduation
  • Strong interest in developing AI capabilities and savviness with AI LLM models
  • Innovative thinking, and ability to closely collaborate with subject matter experts
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, eager and ambitious
  • A customer-first attitude and open for feedback to grow and learn
