Working environment

We are the Advanced Analytics and AI Center of Expertise (AA&AI CoE), part of the Transaction Banking Data Domain, and our purpose is to drive excellence through Transaction Banking Data. Our value stream covers a vast portfolio of products, including accounts, payment cards, packages, savings, insurances, open banking APIs, trade finance, and digital products such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, along with associated sales, business, and risk management processes. We contribute significantly to the bank’s revenue by strengthening data-driven decision-making.

We apply advanced analytics and emerging technologies such as GenAI to explore, research, and gather valuable insights; predict and forecast trends in product usage and transactions; optimize processes; define, report, monitor, and improve performance; advise on new proposition designs and duty of care topics; and help determine priorities and actions to achieve strong customer satisfaction and vendor relations. We also act as change agents to embed a data-driven mindset at all levels of the organization, enabling teams to harness the full potential of available data and strengthening data maturity and literacy across the bank. All Data Scientists within AA&AI CoE have T-shaped profiles and, alongside data science, may also take on roles such as Subject Matter Experts and Business Liaisons.

The Transaction Banking Data Domain consists of 40+ members based across the Netherlands and India. The team atmosphere is dynamic, open, and informal. We follow agile principles and work on cross-departmental and cross-functional initiatives while collaborating with business experts, business developers, product owners, seniors, and leaders, providing strong opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing. We have developed a culture where entrepreneurial spirit, empathy, fun, and celebrating successes are truly appreciated, guided by the bank’s values: Care, Collaboration, and Courage.
