At TenneT, we work every day on tomorrow’s electricity grid. Our goal is a reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy system. As a Work Planner Offshore Operations in the Offshore Operations NLD team, you play a crucial role in realizing this ambition and making an impact.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Work Planner Offshore to join our team and support the success of our offshore activities in the North Sea. In this role, you’ll be the central figure in planning and coordinating maintenance and project operations, working closely with both internal teams and external contractors to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our offshore campaigns.

We currently operate 5 AC700MW Offshore High Voltage Substations and are expanding towards two more high-performance assets designed to support the next generation of offshore wind turbines. As our Work Planner Offshore, you will play a vital role in planning high-quality maintenance and project activities from offshore vessels, directly contributing to our operational success.

Jouw rol

How will you help power the Netherlands? As a Work Planner Offshore Operations, you are responsible for preparing and executing high-quality offshore maintenance campaigns, helping to ensure the Netherlands continues to rely on a stable and sustainable energy supply. In addition, you are responsible for:

Maintenance & Work Planning:

  • Develop and manage detailed offshore execution plans, ensuring they align with departmental goals.
  • Work with other planners to ensure efficient resource allocation across different projects.
  • Set up and maintain master schedules, offshore schedules, and work plans that are both realistic and flexible.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Coordinate offshore and onshore trip preparations, ensuring effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee material and contractor procurement, managing vendor relationships through SAP.
  • Plan and allocate personnel, tools, and transportation for maintenance tasks, ensuring the right resources are available when needed.

Efficient Use of Vessel Time:

  • Take the lead in ensuring the efficient and effective use of vessel time by coordinating offshore operations with engineering and project teams.
  • Monitor progress, adjust plans when necessary, for example due to weather changes, and provide updates to key stakeholders.
  • Advise the Grid Connection Core Team on any potential exceptions or issues that may require immediate action or prioritization.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive or support the development of improved planning tools and systems, such as rotation plans or progress tracking systems.
  • Set up monitoring and forecasting systems to enhance the visibility of project progress.
  • Continuously refine activity standards and norms to ensure high performance and efficiency.

Waar kom je terecht

Offshore is responsible for the development, construction, and management of the offshore electricity grid. With the North Sea as the green engine of the energy transition, Offshore plays a clear and vital role within TenneT’s organisational structure. The Offshore division manages the entire lifecycle of all TenneT offshore installations, from development and realisation to maintenance and handover to the Operate division. A crucial task is the construction of 2 GW offshore sockets, which collect and transport generated wind energy to the mainland.

You will join the Offshore Operations NLD team, consisting of passionate professionals. Together, you work on maintaining and operating high-voltage offshore substations, a key task for a sustainable and reliable energy grid. Within our team, we foster a proactive and collaborative environment where ownership and innovation are essential.
