As our Procurement Operations Specialist, you streamline the P2P engine that powers 2,900 colleagues.

By enhancing the platform our 13.7 million customers rely on with your contribution to efficient procurement processes, you become the operational backbone of our Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) chain. You support 2,900 colleagues with their purchasing questions, manage supplier data, and ensure critical systems, including Ivalua, run smoothly. With your keen eye for detail and proven process improvement skills, you help transform the team into a strategic procurement partner, benefiting the entire business.

How do you make our customers happy?

By contributing to efficient procurement processes that strengthen the platform our 13.7 million customers rely on every day. In this role, you keep the P2P chain running effectively by supporting colleagues, maintaining supplier data, and ensuring procurement systems operate smoothly.

The biggest challenge

Balancing ongoing operational support with structural process improvements in a dynamic setting. You constantly switch between answering urgent questions such as “How do I add this supplier, now?” and remedying recurring bottlenecks. You ensure rapid support for day-to-day issues while contributing to long-term optimizations. This requires analytical skills, a service mindset, and the ability to recognize patterns in seemingly unrelated queries.

What you will do as Procurement Operations Specialist

As a member of the growing Procurement Operations team, expanding from 3 to 4/5 FTEs, you're co-responsible for the smooth operation of all purchasing processes. You work closely with Finance, IT, and your direct colleagues to optimize the recently implemented Ivalua environment. You manage supplier data, support colleagues with system questions, and ensure accurate commodity mappings. By validating purchase requisitions and investigating PR-GR mismatches, you ensure both compliance and efficiency. You also develop training materials that help colleagues navigate our procurement tools autonomously and effortlessly.

A key part of your role is identifying improvement opportunities. You analyze performance reports, spot bottlenecks before they impact the business, and proactively contribute to solutions. Whenever possible, you incorporate sustainability considerations into your recommendations, from selecting local suppliers to promoting circular procurement options.

Your main responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize supplier master data, and streamline on- and offboarding processes
  • Serve as the first point of contact for process-related questions
  • Support system-related issues and improvements, mainly related to Ivalua
  • Validate procurement requests for accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure contract compliance
  • Analyze and resolve P2P discrepancies, including conducting root cause analysis
  • Develop user-friendly training materials that foster operational excellence
  • Contribute to performance reporting and KPI tracking
  • Maintain category trees and GL account mappings
  • Support the business with low-value, low-risk operational and tactical sourcing and contracting
  • Support business users with travel management questions and concerns

Why you can make a difference

You combine 1-3 years of procurement operations experience with a service-oriented mindset. Your analytical eye quickly spots where processes falter, and you proactively devise solutions. You're skilled with systems, and experience with Ivalua is a big plus. You enjoy structured work and are energized by helping colleagues. Affinity with risk management and basic Excel skills strengthen your application.

3 reasons why this is (not) for you

  • Customer centric: You put the internal customer first and have a service-oriented mindset
  • Process improver: You consider every question an opportunity to improve the process, because an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
  • Accuracy fan: From the tiniest supplier details to commodity codes, you love accurate data and understand how small errors can cascade into big consequences

Where you'll be working

You'll join the Procurement Operations team within the broader Procurement organization. This team is expanding from 3 to 5 colleagues to serve business needs better. The culture is hands-on and results-oriented: we're building a modern procurement function that helps bol excel. With 2,900 colleagues serving 13.7 million customers and 47,000 partners, your work directly impacts the efficiency of our entire organization. We invest in modern tools like Ivalua and give you space to truly improve processes.
