“Hands-on experience in data-driven negotiations and supplier management”

The internship

During this 6-month internship, you will play a key role in unlocking European buying power across wholesale entities. Working at the intersection of procurement strategy and execution, you will support the development of a more coordinated, impactful approach to negotiations with strategic suppliers across Europe. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building fact-based procurement strategies and directly contributing to real negotiations in key markets.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive view of spend and supplier landscape across European OpCos
  • Develop should-cost models and structured negotiation frameworks

You will help support and facilitate a cross-wholesale markets workshop, creating the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across multiple markets. You will report to the Europe Procurement Manager and collaborate with Wholesale teams across key markets in Europe.

Your internship will be in HEINEKEN Global Procurement, and in addition to Wholesale Procurement, you will have the opportunity to connext with colleagues managing Raw Materials, Packaging Materials and Indirects spend for HEINEKEN.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
  • In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
  • In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  1. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  2. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

Our Internship Conditions

  • A full-time internship, starting on September 1, 2026
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
