Internship opportunity in Sustainability Transformation

You will be part of the Access to Care team within the Group Sustainability Office, an international and multidisciplinary group working across regions and functions. You will work in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to access to care initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and impact-driven innovation, supporting Philips’ commitment to improve the lives of 400 million people in underserved communities by 2030.

Your role:

  • Support promising access to care acceleration projects in businesses, especially with market research in global health and social business topics.
  • Support internal program activation and engagement on access to care, including Community of Practice and Competency Building on the topic of access to care.
  • Support ad hoc, relevant requests related to access to care, such as research for strategy work.
  • Support in project management.
  • Support in developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the Businesses, Regions, Functions, and Partners, and ensure maximum coordination of resources and effort.

You're the right fit if:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Health Economics/Management, Global Health, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field with an affinity for global/public health.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • A strong networker and connector.
  • A self-starter: motivated, talented, hard-working, eager, independent, and hands-on.
  • Ideally, relevant experience through previous internships or extracurricular projects related to global health and/or business.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Able to work independently with strong time-management skills; organized, able to prioritize tasks, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

We offer you:

A non-stop growth opportunity within a global multinational company. In addition, we also want to remunerate you well for the opportunity. This includes:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and if you need to relocate to The Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate near our office, a monthly allowance of €300 net is offered if the location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, and €255 net for all other Philips locations. To be eligible, a rental contract is required, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time for a one-way trip.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive a maximum of €192 net as a monthly allowance.
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips products at the Philips shop.
