The Procurement Finance Manager (EU) serves as a central expert within the European Procurement Organization and a trusted business partner to the Europe Procurement Director and Europe Operations. This role drives consistency, efficiency, and transparency across the region by centralizing, standardizing, and continuously improving critical processes within the Materials Controlling domain.

Core Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the Europe Procurement Director and Europe Operations.
  • Co-pilot Procurement savings initiatives, challenge buyers on opportunities and scale of savings, support benchmarking and value creation initiatives and support capability building within the Finance Controlling community.
  • Support Group Operations & Finance leadership as a center of Excellence for Procurement.
  • Develop and institutionalize frameworks that enhance visibility and transparency of commodity price evolution (Raw, Packs, Energy) and related variances.

Lead and supervise all Controlling Activities related to materials, including planning and reporting.

Planning

  • Drive a consistent and efficient actuals, forecasting, and transfer price (TP) process in close collaboration with Supply Chain Finance, Global Procurement, and Finance Support teams.

Reporting

  • Own monthly reporting cycles, including actual PPV with clear variance explanations.
  • Manage monthly savings reporting.
  • Manage monthly material forecasts with key drivers.
  • Manage quarterly TP submissions.
  • Provide good visibility to the markets on underlying cost drivers.
  • Manage hedging and commodity exposure reporting.

Supply Chain Service Reporting

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly Supply Chain Service reporting, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and transparency.

P&L Impact Analysis

  • Provide clear understanding of material-related P&L impacts.

Process, Tools & Project Leadership

  • Lead and actively contribute to Europe Material Controlling reporting development projects.
  • Continuously improve cross-functional processes and ways of working.
  • Support deployment of Group tools in Procurement Controlling (Forecasting, Savings).
  • Build and enhance digitalized reporting solutions within the Material Controlling area.

Performance Management

  • Monitor and challenge financial and operational performance versus budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure Procurement savings (cost reduction and cost avoidance) are accurate, measurable, aligned across stakeholders and fully integrated in Group performance tracking.

Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree (MSc) or MBA in Finance or Business Economics.
  • 7+ years of experience in Financial & Business Control in an international environment, ideally FMCG. Previous experience in procurement finance is a strong plus.
  • Strong command of Excel, Power BI and SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong “can do” and “can transform” mindset; challenges the status quo.
  • Proven ability to build new processes and reporting frameworks from scratch.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and standardization across Supply Chain Controlling.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial data to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
