As Chief of Staff Logistics, you are the strategic engine behind the scenes of bol’s logistics leadership team (LSvb). You co-orchestrate bol’s logistics strategy and execution by ensuring the logistics organization runs with clarity, focus, and momentum. You translate strategy into execution, ensure alignment across complex initiatives, and enable fast, well-informed decision-making. You act as the trusted partner to senior logistics leadership on topics across fulfilment, delivery, strategy, and partners. We improve the experience of millions of customers and partners, not by being in the spotlight, but by making sure everything behind it runs seamlessly. In this setup, the role is designed as a full, clear workload with room to grow on complex topics with the seniority to be a true sparring partner to the MT.

The biggest challenge

Is to create clarity and drive progress in a highly dynamic and cross-functional environment. You’ll connect the dots across strategy, operations, and stakeholders by turning input from many teams into clear priorities, decision-ready materials, and actionable plans. This includes facilitating leadership processes (OKRs, QBRs, reporting), aligning stakeholders, and ensuring follow-through on the most critical logistics topics. And you can do all this while being reliable under pressure, delivering high-quality output on short timelines, and influencing through alignment rather than hierarchy.

What you'll do as Chief of Staff

Reporting to the Head of Logistics Strategy & Carrier Partnerships, you’ll operate at the heart of the logistics organization and work closely with the LSvb MT.

  • Drive and continuously improve the LSvb strategic cadence by driving OKR cycles, QBRs, goal setting, and period reporting from preparation through execution, ensuring high-quality inputs, sharp MT discussions, and clear, actionable outcomes while ensuring alignment between ambition, targets, and execution.
  • Prepare, structure, and facilitate MT meetings, steering the conversation toward clear priorities and trade-offs, proactively proposing highlights and challenges.
  • Ensure disciplined follow-up on decisions, with clear ownership and execution tracked until outcomes are delivered.
  • Enable senior leadership effectiveness by crafting presentations, talking points, and strategic communications that are concise, compelling, and decision-ready, translating complex and fragmented input into clear internal and external narratives.
  • Act as a proactive sparring partner to senior stakeholders, independently shaping proposals and recommendations based on context and strategic priorities. This includes identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities early, enabling leadership to make timely and well-informed decisions.
  • Own cross-functional logistics programs (e.g. Women in Logistics) from idea to impact, aligning stakeholders, managing dependencies, and ensuring measurable results are delivered to move them from fragmented efforts to coordinated outcomes.
  • Strengthen a strong connected logistics community by coordinating and improving team meetings and leadership sessions as the central point of contact.

Where you'll work

You’ll operate at the centre of bol’s logistics organization, working closely with senior leadership and teams across fulfilment, delivery, strategy and partners. You’ll be part of an ambitious environment that continuously evolves — from scaling fulfilment to optimizing carrier partnerships and shaping the future of last-mile delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium. You will report to the Head of Logistics Strategy and be part of the Logistics Strategy team.
