AkzoNobel is looking for an experienced Manager Global Mobility to join the Global Mobility Services team within the Global Rewards Team.

In this senior role, you will take ownership of complex international relocation and assignment cases while contributing to the continued development of the global mobility framework. You will manage the full spectrum of international mobility activities, from advising the business on assignments to immigration, taxation, social security, benefits, and relocation support. Working in close partnership with HR Directors, Recruitment, Finance, Local HR teams, and shared services, you will help ensure a smooth and high-quality experience for employees relocating across the world. Your expertise will play a vital role in strengthening the consistency, effectiveness, and overall impact of global mobility services at AkzoNobel.

Purpose of the job

As the first point of contact for business representatives and assignees relocating into specific regions, you will advise line managers, HR teams, and Talent Acquisition Partners on relocation packages, timelines, financial implications, and policy application.

You will review cost projections and coordinate the full lifecycle of international assignments, including immigration and tax arrangements, relocation and settling-in support, schooling and partner assistance. You will prepare cost projections, balance sheets, and assignment letters, counsel employees and their families on policy and expectations, and ensure that payroll teams receive accurate and timely instructions on net pay changes and reimbursements.

This role offers a significant degree of autonomy while operating under the guidance of the Head of Total Rewards & Global Mobility Services. You will manage your own portfolio of cases and vendors, collaborate with global stakeholders, and contribute to operational improvements and enhancements across the mobility function.

Activities

Requirements

  • You bring experience within an in-house Global Mobility environment and position yourself confidently as a senior specialist in the field.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
  • You have deep knowledge of international compliance, including immigration, tax, social security, and the impact of international treaties.
  • You are analytical, accurate, culturally aware, and able to communicate fluently in English.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, a structured way of working, and sound judgement to manage complex matters with confidence.
  • Experience with vendor management, RFP processes, and HR reporting systems such as CrunchHR is considered an advantage.
