The internship

Are you passionate about procurement, data, and digital innovation including AI? Do you get energy from working in cross-functional teams? Join our new to be developed Agile Global Procurement team. HEINEKEN is introducing an Agile procurement team to function as a high-profile inhouse consulting-style and project management team to increase emphasis on strategic thinking, drive procurement excellence and address shifting business priorities delivering at maximum impact and pace.

We are looking for a flexible, hands-on intern who is eager to contribute wherever the team needs support most. Whether it’s building dashboards, diving into data modelling, supporting with increasing efficiency through AI, or assisting with project management and reporting design. You’ll play a key role in setting up the new Agile team and driving procurement excellence. During this internship, you will work on:

  • Data Insights & Power BI Dashboarding: maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards for performance and category tracking, and develop Excel-based macros and data visualizations for operational insights.
  • AI Integration & Analytics: identify and prioritize AI opportunities, develop and test AI prompts and tools using Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and Azure AI, and support financial data modelling and reporting for Agile managers.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with colleagues across procurement and the business, and support the team to streamline operations tasks based on business needs.

We are looking for someone who is digital savvy, curious about AI, and thrives in a dynamic international environment. You bring the energy, drive and analytical mindset to grow. Do you recognize yourself in the profile below?

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Engineering, Data Science, AI or Business.
  • Digital savvy with expertise in Microsoft Office applications, with particular focus on Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint and Copilot, and curiosity about AI and its practical applications in a business setting.
  • Programming proficiency in SQL or other programming languages is a plus, as is previous coursework or projects related to machine learning or AI. Proficiency with numbers, modelling and data analytics is essential.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
  2. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
  3. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  4. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  5. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

Our Internship Conditions

  • A full-time practice-oriented internship, starting on August / September 1, 2026
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
  • Your home office will be located in The Base, Schiphol, Amsterdam
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
