Company: Optimizely

At Optimizely, we're on a mission to help people unlock their digital potential. We reinvent how marketing and product teams work to create and optimize digital experiences across all channels. With Optimizely One, our operating system for marketers, we offer teams flexibility and choice to build their stack their way with our fully SaaS, fully decoupled, and highly composable solution.

As a Lead Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving revenue pipeline through outbound prospecting and following up on marketing sourced leads. As a Lead Sales Development Representative (Lead SDR), you will be responsible for supporting our sales organization by proactively identifying, nurturing, and creating new opportunities with prospects. You will be on the frontlines of the go-to-market organization at Optimizely, acting as the first point of contact with prospects. The SDR team bridges the gap between Marketing and Sales to grow our business by impacting one of the most critical KPIs for the business: accelerated pipeline production and growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Nordics SDR team on day-to-day questions, blockers, and prioritisation.
  • Support onboarding of new hires and help get them productive quickly.
  • Take ownership of the Nordics segment within the weekly EMEA team meeting — preparing regional updates, sharing wins, and representing the team.
  • Shadow and co-facilitate 1:1s with Nordics reps, developing coaching skills with direct support and guidance from the EMEA SDR Manager.
  • Identify coaching opportunities within the team and flag them to the EMEA SDR Manager.
  • Help maintain team culture, accountability, and a high-activity standard across the Nordics.
  • Partner with the EMEA SDR Manager on performance tracking, rep development, and regional strategy.
  • Manage and convert inbound MQLs (Tier 1–3) within SLA targets.
  • Run outbound prospecting across target Nordics accounts using phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Generate self-sourced pipeline through account research, intent signals, and targeted outreach.
  • Qualify opportunities using the company qualification framework and hand off cleanly to AEs.
  • Consistently hit monthly and quarterly targets for CALs, SALs, SAOs, and pipeline.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 2–3+ years of SDR or BDR experience, ideally in a SaaS environment.
  • A track record of hitting or exceeding quota.
  • Natural communicator who others look to for guidance.
  • Hungry to develop into a people manager — you want the responsibility, not just the title.
  • Organised, coachable, and able to balance personal targets with team support.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English required; other Scandinavian language skills a strong plus.

Competencies

  • Accepting Responsibility
  • Communicating Effectively
  • Driving for Results
  • Learning Quickly
  • Managing Time
