At Catawiki, every day brings the extraordinary.

Catawiki is a marketplace for buying and selling special objects, with more than 100,000 unique items auctioned each week and curated by in-house experts.

About the role and team

At Catawiki, we believe that everyone has something to contribute. As our Learning & Development Intern, you won’t just be shadowing meetings; you’ll be the engine behind how we welcome and grow our talent. This is your "first real job," where you’ll transition from academic theory to driving actual impact in a fast-paced scale-up. You will be a fully integrated member of the L&D team, working closely with Talent Management to shape the "Catawikian" experience from day one.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the DNA Week Experience: Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding journey, ensuring a seamless and inspiring transition for every new Catawiki hire.
  • Drive Intern Community & Events: Partner with the Talent Acquisition Intern to build a thriving intern community through dedicated events and networking opportunities.
  • Own Learning Analytics: Record data on courses, programs and different types of learning sessions as well as maintain and evolve our L&D dashboards, turning data into insights that help us measure the success of our programs.
  • Develop Educational Content: Support the creation of learning materials and slide decks that make complex topics easy to digest for our 700+ employees.
  • Think Critically & Iterate: Use feedback from new hires and stakeholders to constantly refine our onboarding. Identify problems and be part of the solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation: Redact and maintain documentation related to the L&D tasks and responsibilities.
  • Prioritize and organise L&D tasks: Manage training and session planning across different calendars while keeping L&D priorities top of mind.

Who You Are

  • Available to start in September 2026
  • Enrolled in a Dutch university for the entire duration of the internship
  • Academic Background: You are currently studying Educational Sciences, Organisational Psychology, Human Resources Management, Instructional Psychology, or a related field and are eager to apply your knowledge to a business setting.
  • Owner’s Mindset: You treat this internship like a "real job," taking full accountability for your projects and driving them to completion.
  • Data Literate: You are comfortable with Google Sheets and have an eye for detail when it comes to reporting and dashboards.
  • Presentation Pro: You know your way around Google Slides and can turn information into a visually compelling narrative.
  • People-First Communicator: You enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, reflecting our collaborative culture.
  • Agile Learner: You thrive in a "scale-up" environment, meaning you are open to feedback and quick to pivot when priorities change.
  • Proactive & Organised: You proactively capture actions, take clear notes, and maintain an organised overview of your work. When priorities shift or new tasks emerge, you create structure, keep track of details, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Reliable Follow-Through: You take ownership of commitments and see tasks through to completion. You do not wait for reminders; instead, you proactively follow up, communicate progress, and make sure agreed actions are delivered on time.

Where You’ll Be

  • Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
  • Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office to connect with the team. Since you will be the heart of our DNA Week, there will be weeks where your physical presence is key to successfully hosting new hires.

Why You'll Love Working with Us

  • Create a visible impact by working at scale in a global organisation serving millions of customers across 80+ categories. In our flat structure, every role has a broad scope and directly impacts both our customers and the business.
  • Learn and grow through our Learning & Development initiatives, including clear development plans and mentorship programmes to support your career progression.
