From cosmos to cell, detecting photons at speed!

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join the SPRINT project, an ambitious research program developing the next generation of ultra-fast and ultra-sensitive imaging systems. The project aims to create a breakthrough single-photon camera capable of detecting extremely weak light signals with unprecedented speed and resolution.

The successful candidate will work at the intersection of nanotechnology, photonics, superconducting devices, and advanced imaging, contributing to both fundamental research and real-world applications such as biomedical imaging, quantum technologies, and LiDAR. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with leading academic and industrial partners in an international research environment.

Candidates should have a Master's degree (or equivalent) in physics, electrical engineering, nanotechnology, photonics, or a related field, and a strong interest in experimental research and emerging technologies.

Job requirements

  • MSc or equivalent in Physics or Engineering
