Senior Product designer

A brief overview

Huispedia is growing its team of creatives on a mission to unlock the housing market in the Netherlands, to allow people to move on with their lives instead of being stuck.

We're looking for someone with robust design skills, sharp product thinking, and the ability to get into detail on technical topics. At Huispedia, we work in small, autonomous project teams. Designers are paired closely with our engineers to explore, experiment and ship. You will be involved in every phase of the project, with no hand-offs.

What you'll do

• Take broad and ambiguous problems and turn them into delightful products. We will empower you to create innovative solutions that will impact the housing market.
• Work closely with the other designers and software engineers to shape and iterate on product features across web and mobile.
• Proactively spot problems, taking the lead where needed and actively engaging with the rest of the team to bring design-thinking to Huispedia.
• Work within and contribute to our lightweight design system.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience designing software products.
• You are curious and confident: you are willing to ask questions, try new things, and advocate for your ideas.
• Self-starter attitude: you have the ability to take initiative and manage your own projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to handle complexity and strike the balance between quality and moving fast.
• You have experience working in fast-paced environments such as start-ups or scaleups.
