As a Data Analyst within the Asset Finance EPT (Empowered Product Team) at NN Bank, you will play a key role in enabling a data-driven Originate-to-Distribute (OtD) business. You will support Asset Finance professionals by ensuring that data is accurate, reliable, and translated into meaningful insights for both internal stakeholders and external investors.

The Asset Finance team is responsible for managing the Originate-to-Distribute (OtD) capabilities, including mortgage allocation, fulfilment monitoring, and investor servicing. Data plays a central role in these processes, ensuring timely and accurate investor reporting, high data quality, and well-controlled operations.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of business, data, and technology, contributing directly to the quality of reporting, the robustness of the data chain, and the continuous improvement of Asset Finance processes.

Your impact at NN

  • Direct impact on investor reporting and funding operations
  • Ensuring high-quality and reliable data in a regulated environment
  • Contributing to a scalable and efficient Originate-to-Distribute chain
  • Acting as a bridge between business and technology

What you are going to do

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Analyse and interpret data: analyse portfolio, transaction, and cashflow data related to mortgage-based funding structures, support investor reporting and internal reporting with data-driven insights, and translate complex data into clear and actionable recommendations for stakeholders
  • Ensure data quality and reliability: identify and analyse data quality issues across the data chain, perform root cause analysis, support resolution of data inconsistencies, and contribute to continuous improvement of data quality controls and monitoring
  • Support the end-to-end data chain: work with stakeholders to understand the full data flow from origination to investor reporting, investigate and resolve data issues across systems and reports, and collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Data Stewards
  • Contribute to reporting and data products: support the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards such as Power BI, ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with business needs, and validate data used for investor and regulatory reporting
  • Drive change and improvements: participate in data-related initiatives such as data model changes and reporting enhancements, support ongoing improvements in automation, standardisation, and scalability of data processes, and contribute to key roadmap initiatives such as data modelling and data governance improvements

Your responsibilities

You will conduct data analysis and delivery and support the functional support team’s day-to-day operations, including frequent meetings with users. Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing the applications
  • Working towards team goals and supporting everyday processes and testing for colleagues in your Asset Finance team EPT
  • Driving continuous improvements and process automation
  • Executing Security Operations tasks to ensure that processes and applications are securely managed and in control

Who you are

You are an analytical and proactive professional who enjoys working with data in a complex financial environment and takes ownership of improving data quality and insights.

You bring:

  • Experience with data analysis (SQL, Excel, Power BI or similar tools)
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components
  • Affinity with financial data (e.g. loans, portfolios, cashflows)
  • A structured and methodical approach to analysing data and identifying root causes
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Who you will work with

You will work with the Asset Finance EPT (Empowered Product Team), a multidisciplinary team of Investment Professionals and IT specialists working closely together to achieve high investor satisfaction.
