Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.

As a Senior Data Consultant, you will help bring clarity and structure to two critical cross-functional data flows: End to End Sales and Flexible Supply Chain. These processes are essential to global operations, yet today they are not fully standardized, aligned, or future-proof.

You will start by assessing the current landscape. You will map processes end to end, identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies, and define what good looks like. You will translate this into clear, scalable future-state designs, including data flows, ownership, governance, and enabling technology.

This role is not limited to strategy. You are hands-on and execution-driven. After alignment on the plan, you will lead delivery together with data, IT, BI, and business teams to ensure real improvements land in the organisation.

At the same time, you contribute to shaping Tony’s longer-term data strategy. Together with the CFO, Head of IT, and BI leadership, you ensure data capabilities support better decision making, stronger reporting, and operational efficiency. You work across Finance, Sales, Operations, IT, and BI, bringing structure, alignment, and momentum in a complex and evolving environment. In short, you make data work in practice.

What you will do

  • Assess and map current-state data flows across End to End Sales and Flexible Supply Chain
  • Analyse processes to identify bottlenecks, data gaps, control issues, and system dependencies
  • Design future-state processes with clear data ownership, governance, and controls
  • Define and deliver structured project plans with short-term improvements and long-term solutions
  • Lead execution of initiatives with cross-functional teams across Data, IT, BI, Finance, and Operations
  • Drive standardisation across markets and improve data quality and consistency
  • Contribute to the development of Tony’s data strategy aligned with IT and business priorities
  • Ensure solutions are practical, adopted, and deliver measurable business value

Our new flavor

  • 8+ years of experience in data consulting, data transformation, or process redesign
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end data projects from assessment through implementation
  • Strong ability to connect data capabilities to broader business strategy and define pragmatic roadmaps
  • Experience analysing and redesigning complex end-to-end processes, with a clear understanding of the relationship between process, data, systems, and governance
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align senior leaders and cross-functional teams and manage different interests
  • Analytical and structured problem solver who can translate complexity into clear and actionable plans
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to move from strategy to execution and drive delivery
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments across business and IT
  • Experience in FMCG or similarly complex operational environments is a plus
  • We are all about being more in person than apart. This means we offer flexibility but see each other in the Amsterdam office on average 3 days a week. More is fine too
  • You raise the bar, challenge yourself and team Tony’s to increase our ambition and accomplish our mission, making mistakes along the way and learning from them
  • Believe wholeheartedly in Tony’s purpose and live our core values: Outspoken, Entrepreneurial, In It Together, Raise the Bar and Makes you Smile

Practical details

  • Type of contract: temporary/consultant/freelancer
  • Duration: 6 months with potential extension

Tony’s Chocolonely wants to make all chocolate 100% slave free. Not just our chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide. Not exactly the average company, right? Instead a chocolate company whose primary goal is to resolve a social issue in the world.
