What you’ll do as Senior Tech & Data Risk Manager

You’ll join the Tech Risk & Security domain and operate at the heart of our platform. Together with your colleagues, you safeguard bol against evolving Tech, data, and cyber risks.

You combine hands-on risk management with strategic leadership.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide data-driven insights into Tech, cyber, and data risks
• Strengthen risk-based decision-making across tech, data, and product domains
• Drive a structured risk management cycle to enhance the maturity of Tech & Data Risk Management frameworks
• Enable teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively
• Improve and embed risk processes, taxonomies, and reporting
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including leadership teams, on Tech & Data Risk Management frameworks
• Engage with senior management to ensure clear visibility of key risks, and drive formal risk acceptance processes. Provide independent challenge and oversight on risk assessment outcomes and risk acceptance decisions.
• Develop and deliver high-quality risk insights and reports to support senior leadership and governance oversight
• Translate regulations such as NIS2, GDPR, DORA, and the AI Act into actionable controls and policies
• Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections, including DORA and NIS2 supervisory expectations
• Help shape the future of risk management within a fast-moving tech organization

Your profile

As a Senior Risk Manager, you operate across tech & data teams and domains, with clear ownership of a critical capability: Tech & Data Risk Management.

You combine deep expertise, organizational influence, and strong execution power. You don’t just contribute; you shape direction and raise standards across bol.

Scope & impact (what defines your level)

• Own and evolve Tech & Data Risk Management practices across multiple domains or platform-wide
• Influence decision-making at senior management level (Head of / Director level)
• Lead cross-team initiatives that improve risk maturity and scalability
• Drive alignment between technology, security, data, and business priorities
• Act as a go-to expert in complex risk topics such as cyber risk, data risk, AI/ML risks, and regulatory impact

Experience & expertise

• 10–12+ years of relevant experience in Tech Risk, preferably also Data Risk, Cybersecurity risk, and IT Compliance
• Strong grounding in Tech risk frameworks and control models, including ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and similar standards
• Solid understanding of data risk & governance, such as data classification and data lifecycle risks
• Proven experience engaging with senior management on risk assessments and presenting risk insights
• Experience with modern tech environments, including cloud, microservice architecture, and DevOps ways of working
• Familiarity with regulatory landscapes including GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and preferably the EU AI Act
• Proven track record in driving measurable improvements in risk maturity
