Senior Director Finance & Business Control - Innovation & Commercial

At Corbion, we are looking for a Senior Director Finance & Business Control - Innovation & Commercial to partner with our technology and business leaders and drive value creation across our Lactic Acid & Derivatives (LAD) portfolio and Innovation Solutions Development.

Your impact

As a strategic finance leader, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Technology Officer and the Head of LAD. You will play a critical role in shaping investment decisions, steering innovation portfolios, and driving profitable growth in a global, science-driven business. You will challenge assumptions, translate strategy into financial insights, and help leadership teams make informed decisions that deliver sustainable business results.

What you will do

• Partner with senior business leaders to shape strategy, portfolio choices, and investment decisions
• Translate business strategy into financial frameworks, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Lead financial evaluation of innovation projects, capital investments, and strategic initiatives, including partnerships and M&A
• Drive forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning for the LAD and innovation portfolio
• Deliver data-driven insights that enable growth, margin improvement, and cost optimization
• Steer innovation investments by balancing risk, return, and strategic fit
• Monitor commercial performance and highlight risks and opportunities
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Innovation, and Manufacturing to align priorities
• Represent Finance in leadership and innovation forums
• Lead and develop talent within the Commercial Finance organization

What you bring

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in finance within an international manufacturing environment
• Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner to senior commercial and technology stakeholders
• Strong leadership experience in global or cross-regional environments
• Advanced analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with ERP and analytics tools (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Fluency in English
