🛠️ The Role - Legal Operations & AI

We are looking for a Legal Working Student who is excited about the future of legal work. You will help us run legal more efficiently by combining legal thinking with smart systems, structured processes and AI-enabled ways of working.

You will support our legal team with day-to-day legal operations, contract and document workflows, compliance support and recurring legal questions from the business. A key part of the role is helping us identify repetitive legal tasks and improve how they are handled — for example by using AI tools, templates, checklists, trackers, automations and better internal guidance.

This role is a strong fit for someone who works quickly, understands systems easily and enjoys finding practical ways to make legal work faster, clearer and more scalable.

⚙️ You will help with:

  • Improving and maintaining our legal operations processes, including contract intake, document management, approval flows and legal trackers;
  • Identifying repetitive legal or administrative tasks and helping turn them into smarter, AI-enabled workflows;
  • Using AI tools thoughtfully to support legal research, document review, summaries, internal guidance and process improvements;
  • Assisting with legal research and first drafts on topics such as consumer law, privacy, marketing, e-commerce and supplier contracts;
  • Responding to legal questions from the business;
  • Helping maintain GDPR and compliance materials, including trackers, policies and internal guidance;
  • Helping the legal team work faster, more consistently and with less manual admin.

✅ We are looking for someone who:

  • Is currently completing, or has recently completed, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in law;
  • Is fast, structured and comfortable working independently;
  • Picks up new systems quickly and enjoys making processes more efficient;
  • Is fluent in AI tools, or highly motivated to become fluent quickly;
  • Can show practical examples of using AI to work faster, structure information or improve a process;
  • Has a demonstrable interest in AI, automation or legal tech, for example through coursework, personal projects, prompt-based research, workflow automation, no-code tools or previous work experience;
  • Can use AI critically and responsibly, especially when working with confidential information or legal content;
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch is a bonus!).

✅ You’ll love this role if you…

  • Enjoy practical experience in the legal team of a fast-moving international e-commerce business;
  • Have exposure to a broad range of legal areas, including legal operations, contract management, privacy/GDPR, consumer law, marketing, e-commerce, procurement, supplier contracts, corporate housekeeping and regulatory compliance;
  • Have the opportunity to work with legal tech and AI tools in a practical business context;
  • Want a role where your work directly helps the legal team become faster, more organised and more scalable;
  • Want the chance to learn how legal advice is delivered inside a modern, international company.

These are some of the skills and experience we think will enable success in this role, but please don’t worry if you are missing some of these.
